Jericho Coffee Traders started in Oxford in 2009, when the founders spotted a Vespa tuk-tuk for sale and decided to put a coffee machine on the back of it. The business has since grown into a roastery, several cafes in Oxford, a coffee school, and a subscription operation that was ranked 3rd in the Lightning 50 Top UK eCommerce companies. The roastery covers a range of speciality origins and runs regular courses for home brewers and professionals. The signature tuk-tuk is still used at local events. Trade customers are supplied through a wholesale channel, and subscriptions come with meaningful discounts for new customers. The founders, James and Lizzie, remain involved in running the business.
