ORIGIN STORY This Colombia decaf captures the essence of what a fine Colombian coffee should be. Great coffees can be found in several departments throughout Colombia, but Huila has become a major contender among them, producing the most coffee by volume. This exciting flavour profile is intensified by the processing of the coffee cherries by washing the coffee with high mountain spring water and ethyl acetate - an organic compound derived from sugar cane. This water-EA process allows for gentle extraction of the caffeine from the bean, avoiding excessive heat or pressure, maintaining the natural structure and all characteristics of the coffee bean.
