Espresso Blend 194 (Brazil

We continue to search for the best seasonal coffees to make our classic house espresso blend. Quality and consistency are at the forefront of our minds when searching for components and we’re happy to announce our new blend is no exception. With the new season, this blend features a natural Brazil grown in the mountainous coffee growing area of Serra de Mantiqueria. With a century-old tradition of exceptional coffee production, the area is now recognised as one of Brazil's best coffee-growing regions and holds Protected Domination of Origin status. Producers here have earned more than 350 awards in the Cup of Excellence. This coffee comes from the cooperative Cocarive, based in Carmo de Minas, and represents a lot of the top specialty farms from across the region. To complement the main component of our carefully crafted blend, we have selected a washed coffee grown in Popayán, in the region of Cauca, Colombia. This lot brings together coffee grown by approximately 65 producers. Sheltered by the Andes on fertile volcanic soil, the Meseta de Popayán offers the ideal climate for growing exceptional coffee. Initiatives like Popayán help farmers gain improved access to resources, equipment, and education, supporting long-term social and environmental sustainability. Our idea of a blend is a way to create something that is greater than its parts alone. Our natural Brazil provides prominent sweetness and body while our washed Colombian brings nuttiness and gentle fruit undertones. These two come together beautifully to form our blend; a rich yet balanced flavour profile, showcasing notes of almond, chocolate and fudge.
