Organic - La Naranjas
Tomas Bueno has been farming his plot in northern Peru for over a decade. He founded the Alpes Andinos producer collective, grows his coffee under the shade of cedar trees planted by his grandparents, and uses bird guano from nearby offshore islands as a natural fertiliser. The farming is organic, unhurried, and precise. The result is a coffee that tastes of the land it came from. Light-medium roasted to preserve the fruit: vivid blackberry, luscious plum, and a rich, almost vinous sweetness that lingers pleasantly. Triple-washed and dried slowly on raised beds. For filter drinkers who appreciate complexity without artifice, this is very much the one. Varietal: Red Caturra, Typica, Bourbon Processing: Fully Washed Altitude: 1850m Roast: Light/Medium
