Poblado Coffi
Poblado Coffi is based in the old quarrymen's barracks in Nantlle, a small village in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in North Wales. The founders spent time in Medellín, Colombia in 2003, including on a coffee farm, which began their interest in the industry. After years of further travel they settled in North Wales and began roasting at home, before outgrowing that setup and moving to the current site in Nantlle with a direct view of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The name combines the Welsh word 'pobl' (people) and the Spanish 'poblado' (village, community). The roastery is open to visitors and runs a seasonal Saturday café, Caffi Rhosty, in their courtyard. They also organise a weekly community run and swim, the Poblado Plodders. Packaging is 100% biodegradable. The business sells online, supplies wholesale accounts and runs a subscription service.
