Grind
Grind began in 2011 when founder David Abrahamovitch converted his father's old mobile phone shop in Shoreditch into a café. That first site became known as Shoreditch Grind and operated as a café by day and cocktail bar by night, establishing a format the brand has built on across London since. Today Grind is a B Corp certified coffee company based in London, selling coffee online through subscriptions and pods alongside its café estate. Its home-compostable Nespresso-compatible pods are the most distinctive part of its retail range. The business has pursued sustainability at a product level, with compostable packaging central to the retail offer since its pods launched.
