Bad Hand Coffee
Bad Hand Coffee is based in Bournemouth's Triangle, an area the roastery describes as a colourful corner of town, where it occupies a converted warehouse alongside a tasting room and several other businesses. The roastery's roots go back to 2007 when the same team opened Boscanova, a specialty coffee shop in Boscombe, followed by South Coast Roast in 2012. By 2018, they sold the cafes to focus entirely on roasting, and a name change followed the sale of the South Coast Roast brand. The environmental approach is central to how Bad Hand operates rather than an add-on. The roastery runs on renewable energy including solar, wholesale deliveries are made by electric vehicle, and reusable tubs replace single-use packaging on trade rounds. The Tasting Room on site is open to the public.
