Behind the Scenes This coffee was cultivated by the fabulous team at Lot 20 in Kericho County in Kenya. They took their name from their initial goal: to export 20 bags of quality coffee to the UK. That was back in 2019 and it goes without saying that this incredible bunch have surpassed their own expectations, and then some! Led by Sidney Kibet, Lot 20 now works with farmers right across Kenya where they’re known as innovators and trend-setters through their experimentation and quality. Over the last few years they have made what seemed impossible very much possible, experimenting with different processes with the aim of improving the quality of their coffee all the time. The coffee is then washed and sent to Coffein Compagnie in Bremen who used the Sugar Cane (or Ethyl Acetate) method to decaffeinate it without compromising on any of the delicious flavours.
