Ethiopia, Tega & Tula, 100% Organic
The Tega & Tula Specialty Coffee Farm, located in the heart of Kaffa, amidst the natural forests covering an area of over 500 hectares, is named after the two nearby villages of Tega and Tula, found in the woreda , or district of Gibo, Ethiopia. This farm, with nearly 400 hectares of planted coffee, primarily consisting of Ethiopian varieties and cultivars that were released in the late 1970s (74110 and 74112, for example, are two of these cultivars from 1978), as well as some strains of wild coffee from the Kaffa Forrest bio-reserve area. The farm is certified organic and produces both Washed and Natural coffees with an environmentally friendly production system and a Fair Chain model which ensures an equitable distribution of returns in the coffee production chain. This means the farm, its owners and workers receive a fair share of the revenue and profits from the distribution and sales of their coffee.
