Fairtrade Colombian Excelso

Description Colombian coffee is known for its rich, mild flavour that comes from the perfect climate and elevation. Coffee grows best in volcanic soil, at 1,200-1,800 metre elevation, in places that are free of frost but receive around 80 inches (200 cm) of rain a year. The ideal conditions for the cultivation of this species in Colombia are found between the 1.200 m and 1.800 m above the sea level. This region has temperatures between 17 and 23 °C and with precipitations close to 2.000 mm per year, well distributed along the year.
