Yirgacheffe Dumerso

From the legendary Yirgacheffe region, this coffee is a show stopper. Dumerso brings together everything we love about Ethiopian coffees with vibrant lemon fruitiness, creamy toffee sweetness and a gentle blackberry and stone fruit flavour. The beginnings of the distinctive flavour is in the growing region where the high altitude farms, rich clay soil and native trees provide shade in addition to the natural process of coffee drying where the ripe cherries are dried slowly in the sun, results in the jammy sweet intensity that we associate with the best Ethiopian coffees. The Dumerso washing station revived by the sisters Hirut and Mahder Birhanu, has transformed the community here. More than 750 smallholder farmers bring their harvests to Dumerso making it not only a hub for exceptional coffee, but a lifeline for the people who grow it.
