Rwenzori Kalingwe

With a bold, juicy body and delicate fruit-forward notes, Kalingwe is a coffee that really lingers. Expect soft honey sweetness layered with ripe strawberry and peach, with a clean and vibrant finish. It’s beautifully balanced, rich without being heavy and lively without overpowering. Grown high in the foothills of Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountains, this coffee is shaped by altitude, care, and time. Sitting at 1,700–2,000 metres above sea level, Kalingwe is naturally processed, with cherries hand-picked at peak ripeness and slowly sun-dried on raised beds. The result is a cup that’s expressive, complex, and consistently high quality. Kalingwe is produced by a close-knit community of 107 smallholder farmers who have been working together for over five years. Through ongoing training, support, and improved agronomy practices, farmers have steadily increased both quality and yields, and it shows in the cup. But this coffee goes beyond flavour. Together with Agri Evolve, we’re proud to support long-term growth within the Kalingwe community: Two Village Savings & Loans Scheme (VSLA) groups, helping build financial independence 1,376 tree seedlings distributed in 2023 to support environmental sustainability Fair, ethical sourcing that puts farmers first Scoring 85.5 on the SCA scale, Kalingwe is a standout coffee that reflects the dedication of its farmers and the unique terroir of the Rwenzoris, a cup with real depth, purpose, and personality.
