Surrounded by dense rainforest and steep mountain terrain, coffee here is cultivated by smallholder families in small garden plots, often alongside subsistence crops. Harvest is done by hand, with ripe cherries carefully selected before being washed in fresh mountain water and dried slowly. This traditional approach, shaped by generations, produces a coffee with clarity, depth, and a sense of place that’s hard to replicate.
