Kona, Cancino Estate
The Kona region on the big island of Hawaii is home to a superb combination of climatic factors making for an ideal coffee growing micro climate characterized by rich volcanic soil, an ideal elevation of about 300-500 metres and a steady, gentle climate. Cancino estate Kona coffee is grown on a small private estate in the Kona District at an altitude of 480 metres. Mr. Raynoldo Cancino is an immigrant from very humble beginnings in Mexico. About 20 years ago he came to Kona to work as a coffee picker and through his intelligence and hard work was able to buy a small plot of land in the slopes of Mauna Loa where he could produce his own coffee. The whole family is now involved in the Cancino estate business.
