Yirgacheffe (Aragash Gelcha

Another stunning Ethiopian and possibly our most complex yet! Part of our blossoming 'Curious Cups' section, this 2026 Natural evokes the changing of the seasons so well. It meets our Curious criteria due to its rare varietal (Kurume!) and because, well it tastes so different to anything we have tasted from the country! Our first visit to Yirgacheffe and this cup from our friends at Omwani doesn't disappoint! A delicate Arabica varietal that has been roasted on our medium-light profile rather than our typical Ethiopian 'light' because we felt the development gave it a unique palate on espresso and brought out the floral and sugar cane elements we were told to expect from farm. And were equally surprised when we paired with milk once we had taken it ever so slightly darker... So you can expect a cup full of blackcurrant and fig, even black tea like - a juicy delight on batch - but but but - with a vanilla ice cream essence when paired with say, oat milk. We think 'Blackcurrant and Vanilla Ripple' describes this complex coffee perfectly and we can't wait for your feedback on it. Our WhatsApp community has been raving about this one since it's soft launch! Aragash Gelcha, remember the farm name! Importer: Omwani Speciality Coffee
