Tanzania Mondul Natural

Mondul Estate was founded in 1931 and became part of Burka Estates in 2007. The 211-hectare farm is located on the slopes of Mondul Mountain, about 25 km from Burka town in the Arusha region of Northern Tanzania. Set in the heart of Maasai land, the estate is surrounded by the rich culture and natural beauty which makes this region so special. Unlike fully washed coffees, “natural” or “dry processed” coffees are dried whole after harvest, with the sweet, sticky fruit layer still surrounding the bean. As the cherries dry, the natural fruit sugars are absorbed, creating a rich, syrupy body with vibrant sweetness and distinctive tropical fruit notes.
