OUR TIGER BAY STORY Our Signature Blend is aptly called Bae Teigr (Tiger Bay) and most would think the same was chosen just because of our location of our coffee shop. Yes, but the reason we chose it, goes a bit deeper than that... ...our signature blend takes it's name from Tiger Bay, Cardiff dock land district - now Cardiff Bay. Tiger Bay was a thriving community with a unique blend of cultures from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Tiger Bay thrived due to the coal industry. There are various stories of why it was called Tiger Bay, one being that sailors had given the name due to the string tides and currents crating tiger like waves. THE COFFEE this coffee is made up of four different coffees from three parts of the world, creating our own tasty cultural blend.
