Unavailable About Profile Doña Carmen Campos Arce has been farming Montes de Cristo for over a decade. It is income from the farm which enabled her three now-adult daughters to complete school and develop careers of their own. After the last few years, Doña Carmen has gently begun to slow down on the farm and accepts some help from her brother, daughters and neighbours. The farm is less than three hectares in size and has a very small crop, which is picked, processed, and sun-dried by hand. We buy all the international-graded coffee which equates to around twenty 69kg bags of green coffee a year. Montes de Cristo is one of the most diversified farms we know, there is not a square inch that hasn’t been put to use in some capacity with orchids, succulents, and stone fruit in particular demand. Very sadly, Doña Carmen’s chocolate labrador Iri died last year. Iri was a great companion on the farm and is very much missed.
