La Mazateca

La Mazateca is a community blend of small lots that was sourced from indigenous farmers based in the northern highlands of Oaxaca. In many ways Mexico is an origin like no other; especially in the regions where we are buying our coffee. For a wide range of reasons yields in these areas are extremely low. Farmers follow traditional, organic and low intervention practices and coffee cherry is hand picked from trees that can often be well over 40 years old. These low intensity production methods and very small plots of land make the coffee from these growers rare and sought after.
