100% Specialty Arabica Coffee - 3 Star Winner Great Taste Awards 2025 A medium roast blend of 100% Organic Arabica. Celebrating 15 years roasting at our roastery in NewtownMountKennedy at the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. Judge's comments: A creamy, delicate nuttiness on the nose leads to a delightfully juicy, lactic sharpness. This is beautifully balanced and cohesive with the classic Ethiopian fruity and tea-like notes doing the heavy lifting. The sweet cocoa and nut flavours provide body and underpin the tartness. It is a remarkably clever job of blending which expertly manages to bring out the best qualities of each coffee. This has an even medium roast with a fruit and nut aroma. The combination of origins works in harmony; it is bright with initial berry notes followed by tones of dark chocolate, full bodied, carrying length through the finish, giving the blend complexity. The milk sweetens the espresso without taking away any of the body or flavour from the coffee. It has been expertly blended, showcasing the quality of the individual origins. On the nose, there is wine and soy, with a savoury/funky note. It is super-bright and sharp on first sip - and then it develops into a kind of savoury broth umami that is pleasing, with a touch of liquorice emerging too. There is complexity both on the nose and palate. A touch of green apple on the finish, plus red dried fruit. There is depth on the length that also survives the addition of milk. With a bright nose, full of complexity, this has a very elegant flavour, with notes of milk chocolate, toffee and stone fruits. It has great depth and body. This is a coffee that has been expertly roasted, and really takes you on a journey.
