COLOMBIA • EL BUHO • SUGARCANE • DECAF Feather & Flip is a Colombian coffee from Huila and Tolima, decaffeinated using the natural “sugarcane” (EA) method, the one that keeps the flavour intact, rather than stripping it out. Here’s the simple version: the beans are gently steamed to open up, then washed with spring water and naturally derived ethyl acetate (EA occurs naturally in coffee fruit, and this version comes from sugarcane). The caffeine is gradually removed, then the coffee is dried back to its ideal moisture level, allowing it to roast and brew like a proper coffee. What you get
