Aprysa (Organic Women's Committee

We began our relationship with the Aprysa Women's Organic Committee this year. We pay a social premium on every pound of coffee we buy from this co op. Which this year has seen us donate in excess of $4000. APRYSA was legally founded in 2014 by Katsuhiko, a Japanese man who moved to Peru 15 years ago when he met his wife who is Peruvian. Before that, they had been loosely working together with another coop,Perunor, who still provide Q grading services when needed. Most of the farms are roughly 1.5 hectares; the largest extends to 9 hectares. Like all of our organic coffees, this one is a real all rounder and will work just as well in your espresso machine as it will in a V60. Our tasting/cupping notes for this coffee come from our Q Grader, Monika. She'll always find at least 7 or 8 aromas, taste notes etc and then select the three she finds most pronounced to put on our bags. For this coffee she selected "Dark Chocolate, Mandarin, Maple syrup".
