Rwanda Women’s Crown Nyamasheke is an exceptional specialty coffee grown at ultra-high altitudes of 1,600–2,100 metres. This 100% Red Bourbon lot undergoes an experimental anaerobic fermentation process, resulting in a cup of high sweetness, multilayered acidity, and a beautifully elegant body. Each sip reveals a rich and vibrant flavor profile defined by juicy plum, smooth caramel, and sweet cane sugar. It is a spectacular choice for coffee lovers seeking an incredibly clean, complex, and rewarding brew. This lot is produced at the Gasharu Coffee Washing Station, a multi-generational family business managed today by Valentin Kimenyi to support 1,650 local smallholders. Known as the “Rugori” (Women’s Crown) initiative, this experimental coffee is entirely grown and processed by local women to champion their financial independence. By ensuring additional proceeds go directly to female workers—who make up 70% of Gasharu’s team—the project actively funds girls’ education and strengthens farming households.
