The Mercedes Olivera Feminist Collective

Blackberry Jam. Cocoa. Date. Washed Filter/ Espresso The Mercedes Olivera Feminist Collective (COFEMO) is a feminist organisation with over three decades of activism. It is dedicated to closing gender gaps in the most marginalised and unequal municipalities of Chiapas. COFEMO developed a project called Sat Kajpel Antsetik, meaning “Coffee with a Woman’s Face” in the local Tzotzil language, consisting of a cooperative of 58 indigenous women in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. Through this group, women are supported to access international markets, improve coffee quality, and take on leadership roles within their communities. We have roasted this lot to a medium profile to highlight the syrupy sweetness and blackberry acidity. Expect a clean, crisp cup with lingering sugary deliciousness!
