This fully washed Honduran coffee has a rounded body and enough juicy acidity to stay lively without becoming sharp. It is approachable as espresso, clear as filter and sweet with milk. THE STORY GEA brings together coffees from more than 400 women producers across seven Honduran regions. The name refers to Gea, the goddess of Earth in Greek mythology, and was chosen to recognise the resilience, skill and work of the women behind the coffee. Many share resources, support one another through harvest and exchange practical knowledge about farming, drying and milling. The result is not a coffee from one estate, but a regional blend built through shared standards and collective effort. BEHIND THE BEANS The coffee is sourced from women-owned farms across Lempira, Ocotepeque, Intibucá, Copán, La Paz, El Paraíso and Comayagua. Farms sit between approximately 1,100 and 1,650 masl. The coffees are fully washed and dried using a combination of patios, solar dryers and raised beds. Organic certification and careful preparation support a clean, sweet profile with a smooth body. We roast it in small batches in Whitminster to bring caramel and almond forward while preserving its apricot-like brightness. HOW TO BREW IT HONDURAS is designed to be versatile. As espresso, begin around a 1:2 ratio for a rounded shot with caramel sweetness and a soft almond finish. A slightly longer yield will make the apricot note more visible. With milk, expect a sweet, balanced cup rather than a heavy chocolate-led profile. For filter, start around a 1:16 ratio with a medium grind. V60, batch brew and AeroPress will show more clarity and juicy fruit as the coffee cools. DETAILS
