This remarkable Sidra lot comes from Edinson Argote, a young and driven producer from Huila whose journey into coffee is as compelling as the cup itself. After losing his mother at a very young age and growing up under difficult circumstances, Edinson found his path through hard work and curiosity. His first exposure to specialty coffee came in his early twenties while working at a local buying station, where he became fascinated with cupping and quality. That passion eventually led him to work at some of the most innovative farms in the region before establishing his own project, Quebraditas, which he now runs alongside his family. At Quebraditas, Edinson focuses on cultivating rare varieties and pushing the boundaries of processing. This Sidra lot undergoes an intricate washed process involving extended oxidation, controlled yeast fermentation, and precise thermal shock washing. These carefully managed steps are designed to enhance clarity, stabilise fermentation, and amplify the expressive character of the variety while maintaining exceptional cleanliness in the cup. The result is a strikingly complex and elegant coffee. Floral notes of honeysuckle open the profile, followed by vibrant layers of blood orange and juicy peach. A refined sweetness and bright, structured acidity carry through to a clean, lingering finish, creating a cup that feels both delicate and dynamic.
