Las Lomas

Region Quiché Altitude 1800 MASL Variety Catuaí, Catimor & Bourbon Process Natural Quiché is located in Guatemala’s western highlands and has a strong coffee growing tradition led by small family farms and producer cooperatives. The region’s high altitudes, volcanic soils and diverse microclimates produce specialty coffees known for their complexity and bright acidity. Las Lomas, a rural community in the municipality of Joyabaj, relies heavily on coffee cultivation for local livelihoods. Its mountainous terrain and favourable climate provide ideal conditions for growing high-altitude coffee using traditional farming methods. In the cup is notes of milk chocolate, tropical fruit and walnut. It is full-bodied with low acidity.
