Aquiares Estate

Aquiares, one of Costa Rica’s largest and most historic coffee farms, sits high on the fertile slopes of Turrialba Volcano. Producing coffee continuously for over a century, the farm has developed an enduring model for growing high-quality Arabica coffee, protecting a stunning natural setting, and supporting a thriving local community of 1,800 people. Opening with rich, musty notes of prune and the sweetness of ripe plum, this coffee gradually unfolds to reveal gentle warming tones of sweet brown spice, leaving a smooth, full-bodied impression on the palate. As the cup cools, a delicate hint of red grapefruit sourness emerges before vibrant citrus notes of blood orange take center stage, adding remarkable depth and sweetness to the lingering finish of this captivating coffee.
