Ethiopia Limu Fully Washed
Ethiopia is coffee’s birthplace, and Limu sits in the western part of the country near the forests tied to Arabica’s origins. Limu overlaps with Djimma and shares a lot of character with southern regions like Yirgacheffe and Sidamo, especially those floral notes and citric acidity, while being known for a slightly fuller body. The growing environment is properly wild (in the best way). Limu’s forests and abundant water help create hummus-rich soils, thanks to all the organic matter composting back into the land, keeping coffee trees naturally well-fed. On the processing side, most farms are small semi-forest plots.
